This offer is to repair
YOUR CONNECTOR
, I'm not selling a connector or parts
.
What:
I will replace the O-rings and the springs with new O-rings and stainless steel springs. I will also return your old parts for your inspection.
Why:
Over time the O-rings become hard and stop sealing or crack leading to a potentially dangerous fuel leak. The springs can also rust if exposed to water once the O-rings have failed.
How does this work:
After you click buy, I send you my address. You mail your connector to me, at your expense, return postage is included in the auction already. I "
usually
" repair them the same day and depending on when I get them they go back into the mail the same or next day as a first class USPS package and
"normally"
get to you within 2-5 business days.
Note:
A lot of folks have tried the "pick" method suggested by an old OMC service bulletin - works great if the O-rings have not turned to stone. After they harden up many folks simply mare up and ruin the brass cover plugs or scratch the valves sealing surface with the O-ring. If you have damaged yours - don't be embarrassed - you're not the first person to do so. I have both cover plugs and valve replacements for $10 each if you need them.
NOS Replacement retainer
OMC 301828
NOS Replacement valve
OMC 301826
Member AOMCI
